Azizjon Bagadirov

Postdoctoral Fellow

Resident at the Forschungskolleg Humanwissenschaften:
October 2025 – July 2026

Research topic at the Forschungskolleg Humanwissenschaften:
»Social Structure and Social Practices in Relational Egalitarianism«

Project outline:
Despite its powerful impetus to the debates on structural injustice, the relational egalitarian idea of (in)justice lacks a robust account of the structural and ideological formation of the self in the conditions of oppression, which weakens its critical capacity to identify all the domains of the reproduction of structural injustice. My project aims to outline a more sociologically informed critical social theory that improves our understanding of why such structures tend to reproduce themselves, both ideologically and through social practices. (Azizjon Bagadirov)

Research partner:
Azizjon Bagadirov follows the invitation of Rainer Forst, Professor of Political theory at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, and the Justitia Center for Advanced Studies funded by the Alfons and Gertrud Kassel Foundation.
