Jesse Tomalty, currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Advanced Study »Justitia Amplificata« based at the Goethe-University Frankfurt and the Forschungskolleg Humanwissenschaften, will join Nuffield College, Oxford as »Postdoctoral Prize Research Fellow« in September 2012.

rnrnJesse is from Montreal, Canada, where she completed her B.A. in Philosophy and Psychology at McGill University, and her M.A. in Philosophy at Concordia University. She received her PhD in Philosophy from the University of St Andrews, Scotland in 2011. Her research focuses on global distributive justice and human rights, and in particular on questions about the normative implications of global poverty for both individuals and social institutions. During her three years at Nuffield, she will pursue further research in this area.
