rnrnThe event series »Reconfiguring American Politics« will continue in May 2011. Owen Fiss, Professor of Law at Yale University, will be the guest of the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities. On Wednesday, May 4 at 6 p.m., he will hold a public lecture in English about »Law and Terrorism«. Harald Müller from the Peace Research Institute (Frankfurt) and Spiros Simitis, a legal expert on data protection, will comment on Fiss’ lecture. On Thursday morning, 5 May at 11 a.m., Fiss will hold a public seminar about the lecture, providing an opportunity to discuss the topic in greater depth.
rnThe series is organized by the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities with support from the Herbert Quandt-Stiftung and the Stifterverband für die deutsche Wissenschaft. It started in November 2010 with a lecture by Bruce Ackerman, also Professor of Law at Yale University.
