Johanna Quandt Young Academy at Goethe is a new cooperating partner of the Forschungskolleg Humanwissenschaften:

The Johanna Quandt Young Academy at Goethe (JQYA), which officially opened in September 2018, is now cooperating of the Forschungskolleg Humanwissenschaften. The goal of both institutes is to engage and involve outstanding researchers in interdisciplinary conversations. The JQYA explicitly targets talented researchers and scholars from outside Goethe University Frankfurt, bringing them here to Frankfurt and into touch with leaders at the university. These young researchers receive fellowships or funding through a variety of programs in order to concentrate on their own research and take temporary leave from their teaching duties at their home universities. A common annual theme will unify the young researchers at the JQYA – in the first year this will be »Nature and Normativity«.

As of the fall of this year, the Academy has accepted seven young researchers as fellows. One fellowship was awarded to an international humanities scholar who will live and work at the Forschungskolleg Humanwissenschaften – the philosopher Federico Faroldi, who is currently at the University of Ghent in Belgium, will work at the Kolleg in Bad Homburg from December 2018 to November 2019 and will be a member of the »community« of the JQYA and of the Forschungskolleg during this time.
