»Relational Integration: membership, relational equality, and responsibility«

How are we to use the concept of integration in current studies on immigration and structural inequality? During my time at the Justitia Centre, I work on a manuscript for a book: ›Relational Integration: a Theoretical Framework for Empiricists‹. The book starts from the suggestion that we think of integration as a problem of relational inequality, and asks what the implications are of this theoretical move for empirical integration research.

Lea Maria Klarenbeek ist Doktorandin am Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research der Universiteit van Amsterdam. Darüber hinaus ist sie dort seit 2013 Dozentin für Politikwissenschaft und Soziologie. 2018 war sie Fulbright Scholar am Department of Sociology an der City University New York.

Lea Klarenbeek folgt einer Einladung von Rainer Forst, Professor für Politische Theorie an der Goethe-Universität in Frankfurt am Main, und dem an der Universität angesiedelten Justitia Centre for Advanced Studies, das von der Alfons und Gertrud Kassel Stiftung gefördert wird.
