»Wie wir mit käuflichen Dingen umgehen« rnVW Stiftung fördert Projekt von Heinz Drüghrnrn
Im August gab die VW Stiftung die Förderung des interdisziplinären Forschungsprojekts »Konsumästhetik. Formen des Umgangs mit käuflichen Dingen« im Rahmen ihrer Förderlinie rnrn»Schlüsselthemen für Wissenschaft und Gesellschaft« bekannt. Das Forschungsvorhaben umfasst vier Teilprojekte, die von Moritz Baßler (Universität Münster), Wolfgang Ullrich (Staatliche Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe), Birgit Richard und Heinz Drügh (beide Goethe-Universität) geleitet werden.rnrn

Das von Heinz Drügh geleitete Projekt trägt den Titel »Künstlerische Verhandlungsformen des Konsums«. Dabei geht es um die grundlegende Ambivalenz der Warendarstellung in Literatur und Film: um ihre vielbeschworene Überfülle in modernen Konsumwelten einerseits und ihre auratisierende Einzelwahrnehmung andererseits. Anhand zweier Phänomene soll diese doppelte Ästhetik der Waren untersucht werden. Annemarie Opp analysiert die Verwobenheit von Liebe und Konsum in zeitgenössischen Romanen; die Darstellung des Supermarktes als Ort der Moderne in Film und Literatur ist Gegenstand der Untersuchung von Heinz Drügh.
Heinz Drügh ist Professor für Literatur und Ästhetik an der Goethe-Universität und seit 2010 Permanent Fellow am Forschungskolleg Humanwissenschaften sowie Mitglied des Wissenschaftlichen Direktoriums des Kollegs. Mit der Konsum- und Warenästhetik in Literatur und Alltagskultur befasst er sich bereits seit vielen Jahren. 2010 führte er dazu eine Veranstaltungsreihe durch, in deren Rahmen Wolfgang Ullrich, Daniel Miller, Eva Illouz und Thomas Wegmann öffentliche Vorträge am Forschungskolleg hielten. 2011 erschien der Band »Warenästhetik. Neue Perspektiven auf Konsum, Kultur und Kunst«, den Drügh gemeinsam mit Christian Metz und Björn Weyand herausgegeben hat.
